Judge Jeanine: ‘Nonsense’ to Probe FBI’s Comey, Lynch Should be Investigated

Friday on Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends,” “Justice” host Jeanine Pirro criticized an inspector general’s probe into FBI Director James Comey’s investigation of Hillary Clinton’s unauthorized email server in the lead up to last November’s presidential election.

According to FoxNews:

Comey will reportedly be the subject of a “broad investigation” due to complaints about his actions from lawmakers and the public.

On “Fox and Friends” today, Judge Jeanine Pirro called the new probe “nonsense,” arguing that if anyone should be investigated, it should be Attorney General Loretta Lynch.

The complaints stem from Comey’s decision to hold a news conference where he said he would not recommend prosecution of Clinton, but also strongly criticized her decision-making with respect to using the private server.

Then just 11 days before the election, Comey sent a letter to Congress about new information in the case that would need to be investigated. Many Democrats have argued the letter cost Clinton the election.

The inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, will not investigate why Comey did not decide to bring charges in the case.

President-elect Donald Trump tweeted this morning that Clinton was “guilty as hell” and was treated very nicely by the FBI.

Pirro said the new investigation is part of a continuing narrative on the left blaming Comey and other factors for Clinton’s defeat.

And she pointed out that Lynch was found to have met privately with Bill Clinton shortly before Comey’s July 5 press conference.

“It’s just nonsense to look at James Comey. Look at Loretta lynch, who is the attorney general. She should be the one who is subject of the inspector general’s investigation. She is one that met with the target’s husband secretly, hoping that no one would find out about it,” said Pirro.
