Gwyneth Paltrow And Angelina Jolie Break The SIlences – Reveal The Disgusting Truth About Harvey Weisnstein

“I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth.”

Both actresses Gwyneth Palthrow and Angelina Jolie, in an interview with the New York Times, recalled moments in the late 90s when the movie mogul Harvey Weinstein sexually harassed them at the beginning of their careers. The pattern was simple: Weinstein allegedly invited actresses into his hotel room, asked his staff to leave, and then put the creepy moves on them.

From the Times piece:

When Gwyneth Paltrow was 22 years old, she got a role that would take her from actress to star: The film producer Harvey Weinstein hired her for the lead in the Jane Austen adaptation “Emma.” Before shooting began, he summoned her to his suite at the Peninsula Beverly Hills hotel for a work meeting that began uneventfully.

It ended with Mr. Weinstein placing his hands on her and suggesting they head to the bedroom for massages, she said.

“I was a kid, I was signed up, I was petrified,” Paltrow told the news outlet.

Paltrrow then sought her then-boyfriend Brad Pitt for help. Although Pitt reproached Weinstein, Weinstein told her to keep it secret about what happened.

Paltrow would go on to win an Oscar for her role in Weinstein’s Shakespeare In Love.

Angelina Jolie also recalled a similar experience in the late 1990s during the release of Playing By Heart.

“I had a bad experience with Harvey Weinstein in my youth, and as a result, chose never to work with him again and warn others when they did,” Jolie said in an email. “This behavior towards women in any field, any country is unacceptable.”

The allegations made by Paltrow and Jolie come on the heels of a leaked audio recording of Harvey Weinstein trying to lure a young model into his hotel room in the same manner as others described it.
